Christmas Presents for Children provided by Kyle's Guarding Warriors
December 2014

We are honored to work with 8 year old Kyle Stoddard, Founder of Kyle's Guarding Warriors who's mission in life is to help others. This holiday season, Kyle has selected S.E.R.V. Niagara to be the recipient of his third fundraiser this year where proceeds are to benefit children in need for Christmas. Over $1,000 and approximately 200 toys were raised from his efforts. Not only did Kyle's proceeds provide toys for over 125 children but Kyle also helped us deliver some of these toys as well. It is no surprise that Kyle received the 'Do The Right Thing Award" presented by the Juvenile Justice Task Force, the Niagara County Sheriff's Department and the Niagara Police Athletic League, as well as the Free Country "Everyday Hero" Award!  Kyle and his warriors are amazing children and serve as an inspiration to us all.

'Cook For A Cause' Cooking Workshop  (For the Benefit of Homeless Veterans in Niagara County)

Hosted By: Orleans/Niagara BOCES Adult Education Program & Kids Breaking Free Foundation, Inc.

This all men's cooking workshop ran from January thru July, 2013. The goal of the workshop was for the men to learn the basics of cooking, eat healthy on a budget, learn a skill to gain employment, and provide an opportunity for men to interact and bond in a healthy, fun environment. What was important to these men, was to  give back to the community. As the workshop is called 'Cook For A Cause', the men collectively decided to cook a meal for Disabled and Homeless Veterans.

With the direction and guidance of our incredible chef Terrence, the men cooked a private 5 course meal and also cooked for over 450 people at our Annual Fundraiser for Disabled and Homeless Veterans. We are very proud of the success of the workshop and look forward to starting it again in the New Year.
