Lockport, NY – Catching Dreams, LLC, a Niagara County based charter company dedicated to creating memorable fishing experiences for Veterans, is partnering with 501(c)(3) not for profit S.E.R.V. Niagara to provide well-deserving Veterans an opportunity with a fun-filled relaxing day on the water.

It’s no secret that fishing and being on the water is calming and healing. Fishing Therapy, also known as Piscatorial Therapy or Angling Therapy, reduces stress, relieves anxiety, improves focus and is highly recommended as an alternative to medicine, all beneficial to individuals suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), traumatic brain injuries, and memory loss.

Catching Dreams and S.E.R.V. Niagara are searching for Veterans to award ten private charters for them and a guest. The 6 hour adventure will be on Lake Erie or the Niagara River, snacks and beverages are included and all fishing equipment is provided. Catching Dreams Founder, USCG Charter Captain Ned Librock, will also present each Veteran with photos and a baseball cap as mementos of their day.

Veterans and individuals submitting an entry on behalf of a Veteran should send a letter of interest along with why he or she would benefit from this program to S.E.R.V. Niagara, Attn: Catching Dreams Contest, 80 Park Avenue, Lockport, NY 14094 or email to Info@servniagara.org. Submission deadline is April 15th, 2015 and winners will be announced May 1st, 2015.
